What we do
We are a large reenactment group headquartered in Hampton Road’s Virginia that has two branches.
Our first branch does impressions of the USMC during the 1990s. Mainly 3rd/8th and 2nd recon. Our second branch is a WW2 marine group. It specializes in 2nd raiders.
We do Reenactment Events, Airsoft, Backpacking, Camping, as well as monthly meetings.
Our monthly meetings consist of skill instruction such as maneuver tactics, rifle drills, fieldcraft, and equipment familiarization. The voting for our meeting dates is done through discord and is posted on our website’s event page.
Why we do it
Theres a general lack of appreciation for the US military's service members during the timeframe after the soviet collapse and before 9/11.
Kosovo, operations in Africa, and multiple humanitarian operations are not remembered by history. Many Americans don’t know that we had soldiers and marines deployed to these locations during the 90s. In a similar vein the Korean war and our involvement in the pacific has gotten the same treatment in being forgotten.
This is unacceptable.
Our group's goal is to bring awareness to these time frames by having a public representation of the equipment that servicemembers were using during these operations.
